The RoleEventbrite is seeking a highly motivated team player to assist the legal team in addressing the wide array of legal issues we face every day. Days are fast-paced and action-packed, and the ideal candidate will be eager to roll up their sleeves and problem-solve on issues of all kinds, with a primary focus on employment, litigation, and commercial matters, such as the following:
- Assisting in the development, drafting and implementation of policies and procedures;
- Maintaining, updating and revising employment agreement templates;
- Conducting global compliance audits;
- Assisting with leave of absence and workplace accommodation requests;
- Drafting and negotiating vendor contracts;
- Conducting legal research, drafting demand letters, and negotiating settlements on behalf of the Company.
- Currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school as a 2L, expecting to graduate in Spring 2025.
- Excellent writing skills that can be adapted to communicate complex legal concepts to a large audience with varying or no backgrounds in law.
- Eager to learn and a strong desire to grow and expand knowledge in the in-house legal world.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-paced environment, and balance competing priorities and timelines.
- Collaborative team player combined with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Working knowledge of employment law and/or strong desire to pursue a career in employment law.
This internship position is a full-time 8-week commitment over the summer, with the possibility of part-time extension into the fall based on performance and availability.
