Front Desk Administrator
Position Description
HELP of Door County, Inc. provides safe and confidential services to victims/survivors of domestic violence throughout Door County, Wisconsin. HELP provides survivor-centered services that improve the well-being and dignity of individuals and families affected by domestic violence while working to simultaneously address the root causes of violence that are based on race, gender, age, ability, and LGTBQIA oppression. All victim services are free and confidential.
Part-Time; 15-20 hours per week.
Hourly Rate: $16.00
Responsibilities:
Answering Phones. Respond to incoming calls, provide information, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
Client Interaction. Greet and assist clients as they arrive, manage doors opening and connect them with their assigned advocate.
Organizing Donations. Sort and organize donations received, ensuring they are appropriately stored and accessible.
Data Entry. Accurately enter client and service data into our software program, maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
Office Support. Perform general office duties, including making copies, creating intake folders, and other light administrative tasks.
Maintaining Office Environment. Keep the front desk area clean and organized.
Desired Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Experience in a similar role or with non-profit organizations is a plus.
Preferred Qualities
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals in crisis.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a dynamic and sometimes fast-paced environment.

Typical physical and mental demands:
Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer and standard office equipment.
