Work Location - Hybrid, United StatesThe Local Broker Strategy Lead at Cigna is a critical team member responsible for helping to drive growth and create a positive broker experience for Cigna Healthcare's Medicare Advantage and Part-D agents and agencies. This individual will maintain ownership of two key areas: developing and executing Cigna's external distribution strategy and local broker experience; and managing a high-performing, virtual sales team of Regional Broker Managers. As both a strategy lead and sales manager, this is a high-profile role that will have the opportunity to interact and influence multiple departments within Cigna Healthcare.
Travel: 30% - 50% Nationally (must be located close to major airport)
Medicare experience required.
Valid Health Insurance License, required
Key responsibilities include:
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and partner with business partners to build a best-in-class experience for our downline agents and agencies.
- Sales Director responsible for maintaining a high-performing sales team of virtual Regional Broker Managers.
- Leverage virtual team to execute strategies developed in collaboration with local Sales Directors.
- Drive the business development of downline agent and agency partners by collaborating with local market and regional sales leadership.
- Work with matrix partners and National Broker leader to create winning strategies based on a deep understanding of our competition and the strategic implications within the Medicare Advantage space.
- Collaborate with Sales Effectiveness to create and execute annual broker training, communication, and event calendar that meets the needs of downline agents and agencies.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and Sales Enablement to create a best-in-class broker experience.
- Work with team to build opportunities and synergy across the distribution channel continuum.
- Manage relationship with matrix partners that enhance opportunities and growth with the distribution unit.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners, driving positive energy through influential leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant work experience.
- Seasoned, respected leader with 8 or more years of experience in the senior market preferred.
- Medicare experience required.
- Sales Management experience required.
- Experience in business development and the execution of sales forecasting related to Medicare Advantage external business partners.
- Negotiation and expansion experience preferred.
- Marketing investment experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and speaking skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in a wholesale distribution model.
- Strategic thinker capable of developing long term and best in class distribution relationships.
- Proven ability to develop relationships across all levels of the organization and with matrix partners.
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and utilize resources to accomplish tasks.
