Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Global Financial Accounting team, ensuring robust financial controls and comprehensive reporting across all entities.
  • Manage the consolidation process during financial close periods, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany transactions.
  • Supervise transactional accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger, while also supporting Treasury Management initiatives.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, ensuring thorough documentation and resource allocation.
  • Oversee daily and weekly cash flow management, including approvals for outgoing payments and cash projections.
  • Coordinate the month-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Guarantee accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Ensure the efficient delivery of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, while managing the preparation of audited financial statements and footnotes.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reporting packages for the Operations Council and Board of Directors.
  • Direct the external audit process, collaborating closely with audit partners to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain adherence to technical accounting standards and implement necessary updates across the organization.
  • Enhance operational and financial controls, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee existing ERP systems and lead efforts to integrate new applications to optimize business processes and control environments.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within retail, manufacturing, or e-commerce sectors, ideally in a private equity-backed environment.
  • Experience in public accounting, particularly with a Big-4 firm, is highly desirable.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
