Job Description:

The role of Safety & Wellness Manager at IRC Wichita involves managing and expanding the Safety & Wellness program. This position oversees program quality, financial management, data reporting, compliance, and community outreach. The manager provides leadership to enhance Safety, Health, and Power initiatives as per IRC Wichita's Strategic Action Plan, with a current emphasis on mental health support, case management, and systems navigation for vulnerable populations. Collaboration with a diverse team of service providers and technical advisors is crucial for successful program implementation.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and implementing community-based programs for immigrant populations
  • Developing evidence-based and trauma-informed services
  • Securing funding through grant proposals and managing grants effectively
  • Supervising program staff and interns, ensuring high-quality service delivery
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing program quality
  • Building partnerships with local organizations to promote awareness and increase access to services
  • Participating in program meetings and adhering to professional standards

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work and licensure in the State of Kansas
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in social services or mental health
  • Strong understanding of community integration, psychosocial support, and forced migration-related trauma
  • Proven track record in grant management and partnership development
  • Proficiency in English, additional language skills preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally

Work Environment:

  • Combination of office-based work, remote tasks, and field visits
  • Potential for occasional weekend and evening work
  • Availability for on-call support during crisis situations
