Job Description

At SmartRent, we owe our success to the efficiency of our organizational processes. To help maintain and grow this standard, we're seeking an experienced Project Manager to help us find innovative ways to improve our operational efficiency across internal teams and departments as we strive toward our goal of increased profitability.

As a Project Manager, you will have intimate knowledge of the company's policies, procedures and functions and will be encouraged to continuously find areas of improvement. To do this, you will have access to company and product data for you to build reports based on your findings, collaborate with key internal stakeholders, and recommend programs and processes to improve the company's key performance metrics. We're looking for people who have a sharp business mind and proven success working across multiple departments on complex problems with various dependencies.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with high performing teams within a time-sensitive and demanding environment to understand and enhance our operational KPIs
  • Collect and organize information from various sources like customer data, financials, sales data, supply chain operations, marketing strategies, hands-on installation processes and procedures, etc.
  • Host structured meetings (in-person and/or via Zoom) with key internal leaders and stakeholders to uncover inefficiencies and deliver meeting minutes with assigned action items for all participants
  • Identify the root cause of company problems and suggest solutions that meet the requirements of various business units
  • Use statistical methods to analyze information and develop solutions to business problems
  • Advise managers and other stakeholders on findings and the various pathways they can take to address the problem - concisely noting the consequences (pros and cons) of each suggested solution
  • Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, operations management, business administration, or related field, and
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a Project Management, Business Analyst or consultant role OR equivalent combination of specific and related work experience and education, including industry-related certificates and training
  • Ability to work with a team in a high-volume and fast-paced software company environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and projects, set meetings with agendas, and provide insights to internal stakeholders at every level of the organization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to provide concise updates on large scale multifaceted projects
  • Self motivated with a deep affinity for problem solving, always challenging the status quo and never settling for how something 'has always been done'
  • Mathematical skills to process complex calculations
  • Analytical skills to process large amounts of data
  • Critical thinking to determine what data and information is useful for the task
  • Problem-solving skills to find multiple viable solutions for a challenge
  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; we use Jira, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom and Slack daily

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of management software programs, including Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, Jira, and Figma
  • Experience working for a SaaS technology company or in a startup environment
  • Experience in Property Management, Leasing, or Hospitality
