ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Execution and Timeline Management:

  • Lead the initial implementation and ongoing execution of approved projects within the Live Entertainment and LBE portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery of milestones.
  • Domestic & International Business Development support. Perform complex financial modeling and decision support analysis for: partnership formation/controlling documents and license agreements. Scope to include P&L forecasting, IRR models, debt vs. equity decisions analysis, contract/agreement review and analysis including deal point determination and negotiation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, report to Senior Vice President (SVP) and to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and monitor timelines to address any potential delays promptly.

Compliance with Universal's Standards and Quality

  • Ensure all licensed partners adhere to Universal's legal requirements and brand standards through regular reviews and audits.

Partner Relationship Management:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with key partners, including licensed entities and other stakeholders, fostering open communication and collaboration to drive project success.
  • Work closely with licensed partners to continually improve product quality and guest satisfaction, proactively suggest new ideas and enhancements to enhance show quality and overall guest experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Collaborate with other New Ventures leaders, such as Operations and Food & Beverage (F&B), as required to ensure seamless integration and alignment of initiatives across different business functions.
  • Supervise travel activities to minimize costs and maximize effectiveness, optimizing resource allocation to support project implementation and partner relationship management.

Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Assists Sr. Vice President in supervising and mentoring LBE team, guiding them to align with executing initiatives effectively. Foster a collaborative environment, promoting professional growth and embodying values of integrity and excellence. Leading by example, instilling a culture of accountability and high performance within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrates strong leadership and interpersonal skills essential for leading a high-performing team.
  • Proficiency in developing and effectively communicating a comprehensive strategy to guide the team's activities and initiatives.
  • Exceptional business acumen. Keen focus on P&L levers, resourceful and creative in achieving financial metrics.
  • Excellent understanding of maintaining brand and property positioning, licensing, and partner management.
  • Exceptional communications, organizational and project management skills with strong ability to collaborate across the business.
  • Preferably possesses prior experience working with creative partners, licensed intellectual property (IP), and negotiating deals within the entertainment industry.
  • Experience in comparable industries is a plus.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance from a four year college or university is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 10+ Years: Experience leading a world-class team in respective field is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Financial and Decision Support analysis, Financial Modeling, and contract/agreement review preferred.
