Position Details

This role assists with coordination of a variety of activities and events for the Community Affairs department. Provides comprehensive administrative support for the Community Affairs department.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a basic knowledge of First Bank's policies relating to CRA and Fair Lending compliance; continue to increase understanding of state and federal banking laws including Fair Lending laws and regulations and Regulation BB -- "Community Reinvestment Act"
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support. Generally, assists with Community Affairs activities (i.e. scheduling, preparing grant correspondence, meeting and event preparation, check mail room, etc.)
  • Prepare grant memos and grant correspondence along with check requests and monthly charitable G/L reconciliation. Work within multiple accounting systems for monthly and annual GL reconciliation.
  • Assist with imports of small business and small farm data into analysis software, review edits and geocoding results and performs quality control reviews on data quarterly
  • Assists with identification, tracking, and documentation of the Bank's community development activities
  • Provide extensive research to assist with qualifying organizations and agencies for Community Development purposes
  • Assist in compilation and qualification of CRA service hours for community development purposes and distribution and administration of the Community First Awards program
  • Maintain organizational database and documentation of qualified organizations and agencies
  • Assist with monitoring and analysis for and CRA
  • Submit marketing requests for event collateral, as needed

Organize, monitor, and update information maintained within the CRA portal on FirstNet and within PowerDMS.

Provide support for State Federal Bank Exams and Internal Audits.

Provide administrative support to the Community Affairs and/or Risk Department as needed

Participates in community events around the St. Louis metro area. These activities may or may not occur outside of regular business hours.

What Do You Need for this Position?

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • One to two years bank experience and/or training
  • Experience in mortgage/commercial lending, loan operations, Fair Lending or CRA, preferred
  • Strong background in consumer compliance regulations and knowledge of bank products and services, required
  • Familiarity with NContracts (or similar CRA data analysis software) and COUPA (accounting system)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite
