Position Summary: The role, under the guidance of the Director of Sales Strategy & Operations, will oversee the implementation of a standardized sales process and practices to ensure consistency and effectiveness among sales associates. This is crucial for achieving the region's financial objectives. Additionally, the position involves managing performance management tools, processes, and reports used by sales leadership to enhance the sales organization's performance. Collaboration across sales, revenue management, and finance is essential to support sales leadership coaching and performance management capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the implementation of standardized sales processes, practices, and performance management tools throughout the Salesforce
  • Lead sales forecasting, planning, and processes within the sales organization; maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency
  • Aid in developing and reporting key performance metrics to drive sales productivity
  • Support annual planning and monthly forecasting processes for the sales leadership team
  • Analyze performance and productivity data to support coaching and performance management by regional sales leaders
  • Utilize key metrics including outside data, year over year performance, and run rates in line with company goals
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations leadership on critical reporting requirements
  • Ensure availability of top tools, training, and resources to the sales organization across different disciplines
  • Maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in sales planning efforts (CRM platform)
  • Stay informed about Sysco's value-added offerings and technology solutions, including customer-facing reporting tools
  • Establish strong relationships with regional sales, finance, merchandising, and revenue management teams
  • Have a quick learning curve for new challenges and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Adapt effectively to change and see new experiences as opportunities for growth
  • Perform any other duties as delegated

Qualifications:

Education and / or Experience:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5 years of sales experience, with 2+ years in a sales support business-to-business professional role
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience leading a business-to-business sales team in a professional sales setting

Professional Skills:

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, adept at analyzing reports & drawing insights from data
  • Ability to articulate information in terms of profit and loss, food cost, and expense ratio
  • Solid financial acumen and the ability to plan and execute business strategies effectively
