The Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Clinical Business Operations Representative to work Hybrid on the UHealth Campus . The Clinical Business Operations Representative facilitates the prompt resolution of problems related to pre- and post-care that arise in daily clinical operations. The incumbent in this position performs general administrative and clinical functions, to include answering incoming calls, efficient management of patients, and the acquisition of necessary patientcare and records. This role will also assist patients in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner and ensure adherence to divisional and departmental service standards.

  • Responsible for all post visit care.
  • Answer calls.
  • Appointment confirmations.
  • Manage and resolve UChart messages.
  • Submit lab order requests to provider.
  • Scan medical documentation into UChart.
  • Process prescription refills.
  • Process authorizations for medications and procedures.
  • Process authorizations for patient having diagnostic testing at an external facility.
  • Process medical supply requests by completing insurance forms and providing medical documentation.
  • Process and mail post visit patient letters.
  • Handle appointment escalation requests. Schedule appointments as needed.
  • Schedule bone density appointments. Obtain visit authorization if necessary. Scan DXA report into UChart.
  • Endocrine Testing Center schedule.
  • Serve as the liaison between patient and provider.
  • Take care of all patient requests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Skill in data entry with minimal errors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends, as necessary.
  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to the University's core values.
