Cost Accountant Opening

Monday-Friday Onsite

Description:

  • Establishes standard product costs for assigned products and maintains all cost elements, including current formulation, raw material and packaging supply requirements, labor, and overhead.
  • Coordinates production and inventory records, assigns value basis established standard costs, and generates necessary accounting entries in conformance with established company policy.
  • 3Analyzes and publishes monthly manufacturing and yield variance reports on schedule.
  • Prepares cost estimates and assists in the development of feasibility studies. All cost estimates must be submitted to the Cost Accounting manager for approval.
  • Performs co packer or outside warehouse audits as assigned.
  • Maintains all work routines within the established time schedules and suggest improvements where appropriate.
  • Becomes thoroughly knowledgeable of all phases of cost accounting and the functions of other departments within the Controller's Division.
  • Carries out a program of self-development and improvement to be qualified for future promotions.
  • Operates personal computer utilizing various software programs in all aspects of duties.

Must Have's

  • BS in Accounting required
  • 3-5 years experience preferred
  • Manufacturing Experience

  • Analytical Skills
