Marketing Specialist:

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing marketing strategies to drive growth in the North American cardiac surgery heart valve market. This role will work closely with sales and marketing leadership, and teams across the commercial organization to partner, create and execute localized campaigns and targeted deliverables that will support sales across North America. The Marketing Specialist to demonstrates an understanding of the regional U.S. and Canadian heart valve business, product, customer, and competitors while applying their expertise in marketing, marketing communication, and project management to build and execute strategic plans in terms of driving commercial sales revenue.

Essential Functions:

  • Works well independently and takes ownership of responsibilities.
  • Works directly with other marketing team members, cross functionally with senior management to coordinate and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Creation and delivery of tools and programs to support sales engagement.
  • Manage and organize workflow of creative assignments from concept phrase through development and execution phase.
  • Collects and analyzes competitor information and tracks sales. Develops and refines goals for regional business.
  • Strategize, develop and coordinates localized product campaigns, sales and support materials, brochures, and other tools.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and assists with localized customer events, internal events, and regional Health Care Provider (HCP) tradeshows and/or meetings.
  • Assists customers and sales personnel through the provision of sales training, clinical in-service assistance, and other educational assistance.
  • Analyzes and takes initiative to resolve problems.

  • Interacts with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate assertiveness and persistence.
  • Works effectively and comfortably with physicians and other medical professionals, as well as with all functions and levels within a hospital organization.
  • Critically think and understand scientific facts and package them into a cohesive communication model for customers and sales personnel.
  • Implement social media marketing and assigned activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft computer software applications.
  • Experience with sales enablement software is an asset.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Works well within teams both cross-functionally and teams that are not located within a specific building or geography.
  • Ability to think outside the box and optimize processes.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (U.S. and Canada).
  • Experience using social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Experience managing marketing activities within a highly regulated environment, highly preferred.
  • Ability to develop financial analysis to justify product or service investments.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage travel and expenses per approved budget.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing and/or Business Administration or equivalent practical work experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in marketing or medical device related field. Field marketing experience is valuable.
