Position Overview:

The role of an Implementation Engineer is crucial within InterSystems, focusing on overseeing technical activities related to the Implementation of InterSystems HealthShare to ensure its success. Acting as a bridge between the product and field, the Implementation Engineer engages in peer reviews of technical activities, provides development oversight from client sites throughout the project, and collaborates with implementation partners. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Implementation Team structure and processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Implementation Team for successful project delivery
  • Provide guidance on timeline and effort for technical work during implementation
  • Offer realistic estimates for Level of Effort and Statements of Work
  • Ensure technical designs meet functional requirements and stay engaged with customers
  • Document technical solutions and supervise implementation partner work
  • Support custom software development and provide technical assistance for implementation projects
  • Advise clients on configuration and infrastructure best practices
  • Assist in developing technical training materials and documentation
  • Participate in on-site technical training and ensure smooth handover to support
  • Additional duties as assigned by the company
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in web-oriented languages such as SQL, HTML, and JavaScript
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards like HL7, IHE, CCDA
  • Familiarity with FHIR and/or SMART is beneficial
  • Experience in data analysis and databases
  • Client-facing support experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and project delivery skills
  • Effective presentation and communication abilities
  • Team player in a diverse environment
  • Flexible to work beyond regular business hours and travel
  • Knowledge of InterSystems technology is a plus
