This position will be responsible for all aspects of contract performance, including building and strengthening customer relationships, collaborating with internal functional partners on capture and execution strategies, and leading proposal/contract negotiations with our customers. You will be communicating across all levels of the LM and MFC team, and with our extensive U.S. Government and international customer and partner set.

Basic Qualifications:

This position is for an experienced contract professional to lead a team and support the contract administration, capture efforts, and lead contract negotiations of MFC proposals and contracts with a diverse domestic and international customer set.

The qualified individual must be able to establish effective working relationships and communications with internal and external customers, possess the ability to interpret RFPs and contract terms, while developing contract positions as they relate to risks and opportunities.

Strong background in US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) is required as well as domestic and international direct commercial sales. Ability to comprehend complex financial and business concepts. Handle multiple assignments while achieving program commitments. Experience with proposal preparation; coordinating and participating in management reviews; proposal submission; fact-finding; contract negotiations, contract award and execution activities.

Computer skills including Word, Excel and Power Point, with ability to grasp other software applications as required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; should have the appropriate attention to detail, be teamwork oriented with excellent organizational skills; and possess strong leadership skills.

Demonstrated leadership skills with direct reports, and both internal and external customers.

Ability to develop and implement strategic business solutions in a fast paced environment.

Able to travel domestic and/or internationally when required to fulfill the responsibility of the position.

Desired Skills:

Experience and proficiency with Lockheed Martin Contracts organization tools, processes and procedures is desired.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high value customer relationships.

Possess superior leadership characteristics and demonstrated ability to lead a team. Ability to distinguish and develop talent within the organization.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
