As a Program Manager, you will help Credit Karma's legal team to develop, implement, and maintain its privacy program. You will report to Lead Counsel for Privacy and work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization, looking for opportunities to distinguish Credit Karma as a privacy and data security leader. This includes, among other things, helping ensure that Credit Karma remains compliant with new and evolving privacy and security regulations. This role requires a self-motivated and highly collaborative individual who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives related to privacy and compliance, from scoping out requirements to working collaboratively across teams and managing implementation
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining standards, frameworks, processes, and policies relating to Credit Karma's security and privacy programs
  • Support the maturation of Credit Karma's privacy program, including by developing processes and policies and operationalizing key functions
  • Define and track key metrics to measure program performance, including analyzing and compiling data
  • Synthesize and stay abreast of evolving legal and regulatory requirements (through review of statutory language, industry and web publications, webinars, etc)
  • Assist with responding to data subject rights requests, regulatory inquiries, and sensitive member escalations as needed
  • Be a team player with excellent people skills and a bias to action

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience in program or project management (or adjacent experience, such as consulting)
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional and technical stakeholders, such as product and engineering teams
  • Technologically adept
  • Expertise with presentation and spreadsheet software, such as PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets and Docs, etc.
  • Organized and detail-oriented

What we would like to see:

  • Experience building or maturing privacy or compliance programs
  • Familiarity with privacy, security, and/or financial services frameworks and regulations such as NIST, ISO, GDPR, CCPA, GLBA, FCRA, and ECOA
  • Someone who is comfortable navigating ambiguity -- and can thoughtfully develop and implement processes that are scalable and repeatable
  • Ability to synthesize, present, and report on qualitative and quantitative data clearly, succinctly and confidently

Benefits at Credit Karma includes:

  • Medical and Dental Coverage
  • Retirement Plan
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Wellness perks
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Baby Bonding, Cultural Observance, & More)
  • Education Perks
  • Paid Gift Week in December
