Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs or applications. Works on multiple major projects with complex features as support to a technical lead. Duties & Responsibilities

As a Chemical & Industrial Process Engineer with Barge Design Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in leading and contributing to major projects in your specialized discipline or market practice area. Your responsibilities include:
  • Designing and documenting technical solutions for a specific discipline or market practice area.
  • Managing and maintaining project documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Providing technical leadership on projects and supporting the technical lead and project managers as a technical advisor on potential issues, participates in the research and development of solutions to engineering and other technical challenges.
  • Reviewing project documents for conformity and ensuring quality..
  • Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing their work for quality purposes.
  • Participating in complex technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and other collaborators.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from an accredited program.
  • 5 to 10 years of engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
  • Proficiency in Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Simulations (ChemCAD/ASPEN), Heat and Material Balance (HMB), Physical/Chemical Property Assessment, Process Safety Management (PSM), Equipment Specifications - Data Sheets, Hydraulic Pump Calculations, Air Emission and Waste Generation Estimates, and Safety Relief Device and Vent Piping Calculations.
