Overview

We are looking for a skilled Test Engineering Lab Technician to be part of our team in Danbury, CT. As a Test Engineering Lab Technician, you will have a vital role in supporting the Test Engineering functional group through various engineering tasks and hands-on activities.

Responsibilities
  • Familiarity with laboratory environment and test equipment
  • Setup test apparatus and perform operational testing
  • Conduct cabinet integration testing and troubleshooting
  • Document test reports evaluating product performance
  • Review project instructions and drawings for test specifications
  • Execute tests on assembled units and components
  • Record and analyze test results
  • Offer hands-on feedback to engineers
  • Support qualification testing and test execution coordination
  • Operate Engineering Lab environmental chamber
  • Construct engineering and manufacturing test fixtures
  • Repair, modify, and certify test fixtures
  • Engage in lab 6S activities (cleaning, safety, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reinforce and uphold the organization's mission, values, and culture
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience with an Associate's degree or equivalent
  • Ability to interpret schematics
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand tools and machine shop equipment
  • Previous experience in soldering
  • Hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in PC skills and software like MS Word, Excel, and VISIO
  • US citizenship required; must meet DRS security standards

You should have expertise in:

  • Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Electrical Schematics

Salary Information:

$29 - $45 / hour
