IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description:
Bellarmine University is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team and support the network, server, and cloud infrastructure of the university. This position will report to the IT Infrastructure Manager, is full-time, Monday - Friday, daytime business hours, with occasional after-hours duties as required. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure that supports the academic and administrative functions of the university.

Responsibilities

Work with the Bellarmine network stack, Internet connectivity, firewall management, data center operations, server administration, phone system, and administration of cloud services.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with the IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Plan, coordinate, and execute IT infrastructure projects, such as upgrades, migrations, backups, and disaster recovery.
Document and maintain IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and configurations.
Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff and end users.
Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions to improve the IT infrastructure.
Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure the delivery of quality IT services.

Requirements:
Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, equivalent work experience, or technical certifications.
Technical Skills

Proficiency with Windows Server and Linux Server administration.
Microsoft 365
Virtualization
Network technologies such as wireless, switching, routing, and firewalls.
Experience

At least 3 years of experience with IT support, administration, or infrastructure.
