As part of Global Digital Marketing, the Global Social Media team is shaping the strategic vision and implementation across all organic social media platforms. As social media becomes increasingly complex, Nike Global Social Media is responsible for understanding the landscape, standing out and deepening the connection of our brand with consumers.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Global Social Channel Lead for @Nikewomen plays a critical role in leading social strategy and creating connected experiences that engage audiences across key platforms. This channel lead will need to develop innovative social channel strategies for @Nikewomen and help build an industry leading social experience for consumers. This position will synthesize information from external partners and across the organization to deliver clear, measurable strategies that demonstrate Nike's leadership in social media.

In this role you will be visible to senior leaders within Global Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Commerce, and Creative. You want to be a part of this team because you are passionate and knowledgeable about Sport and Culture Trends. You understand the evolving landscape of social media and have perspective on platform innovation, and both current and future consumer behaviors. You are a digital evangelist, someone who is ready to be a thought partner, and a consumer advocate. You obsess trends across lifestyle, social media, and can develop consumer led marketing strategies that deliver industry leading solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you will be working with our Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing and Creative partners to shape all the experiences that live within social media. You will be responsible for overseeing the execution of our overarching channel strategy, receiving and responding to seasonal marketing briefs and overseeing the implementation and publishing across our channel(s).

A typical day/week looks like
  • Partner cross-functionally and with Geo's to communicate social channel priorities
  • Partner across NDDC and Merchandising to implement social commerce capabilities and integrate into the overarching social strategy
  • Write and refine marketing briefs to ensure platform-right, channel-right content strategies are implemented
  • Partner with insights and platform strategy teams to set learning agenda and incorporate findings into real-time improvements for social plans
  • Partner with Consumer Services team to ensure the execution of strategic community management aligned to your channel's tone and voice
  • Manage and facilitate overarching editorial calendar and appropriate share ours with Brand, Digital, Creative, and GEO partners across the organization
  • Meet with agency partners and Consumer Services on Social ROS
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role, you will sit in the Digital Marketing team, reporting to the Social Director of Nike Women. You will work with social specialists and an agency partner for programming and publishing needs and collaborate with the measurement team to review metrics and insights. You will partner closely with the Digital Marketing and Brand to ensure overall channel strategy and executions align with overarching brand and business goals.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • 5+ years of strategy experience working on a social team or at a social agency
  • Higher degree in Marketing or related field; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
  • Functional Expertise across social channels such as Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and Pinterest
  • Proven experience working on social activations for large campaigns
  • Proven experience in managing up, across, and downstream with peers and partners
  • Proven experience working with creative teams on digital and social platforms (examples of projects encouraged)
  • Experience working with high profile talent inclusive of athlete, celebrities and/or influencers
  • Experience working with Agency partners
  • Comfortable in managing ever-changing platform landscape while providing clear POV's and willingness to align / educate / compromise with partners
  • Early adopter and problem solver for digital platforms (Comfortable trying new tools and adapting to process improvements)
  • Experience working and managing teams within Sprinklr, AirTable, Asana, Figma (or other)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience leading meetings and organizational communications
