RTA US is seeking a Lead Merchandising Specialist to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with fellow merchandising professionals and cross-functional teams across global and regional merchandising, including Planning, Allocation, Product, and Brand Marketing. Your work will also involve partnerships with finance, operations, and analytics teams, utilizing business reporting to inform your strategies based on both quantitative and qualitative sales metrics, inventory levels, and consumer behavior insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop consumer-focused assortment strategies that reflect a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, integrating both data-driven and intuitive insights.
- Engage in seasonal evaluations and assortment development in collaboration with account-focused merchandising teams.
- Manage multiple seasonal initiatives, providing insights that will influence future planning and alignment with Gender Merchandising Leadership and Global Merchandising partnerships.
- Oversee Women's Fitness Apparel assortment planning throughout the seasonal cycle, gathering insights on consumer trends and marketplace dynamics.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Footwear, Apparel, Equipment, or relevant consumer product merchandising, product development, or retail within a multi-brand or digital context.
- Strong understanding of key retail and digital performance metrics such as sell-through rates, margins, and inventory management.
- Proven ability to convert consumer insights, sales data, trends, and market analysis into actionable strategies for both immediate and long-term success.
- Experience in preparing seasonal tools to assist marketplace partners in understanding key priorities.
- Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with colleagues and cross-functional partners.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills, with a knack for navigating cross-functional environments and influencing stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strong appreciation for consistency and accuracy.
