Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to contribute to a significant project within a prominent sports retail organization. This role involves collaborating with a new team dedicated to developing an internal application from inception. The anticipated duration for this project is approximately three years.

Project Scope

The primary focus of this initiative is to create a Costing Solution that enhances visibility into various metrics such as material, cost, and labor data. This will empower business partners to make informed decisions by identifying opportunities for reduced labor, material, and overhead costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing robust, efficient, and reusable automated test suites and tools.
  • Supporting Agile teams in delivering high-quality releases with improved efficiency.

Technical Environment

The team will utilize a Nike Platform with systems built on Spring Boot, operating on AWS EC2 and ECS via Fargate. The technology stack includes SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and Aurora. We embrace a DevOps culture, managing our own VPC and ALB networking layers, deploying through Jenkins, and monitoring with CloudWatch, Splunk, and SignalFx.

Core Competencies

  • Proficiency in Test Café and Cypress for test automation.
  • Experience with Selenium, JIRA, and AWS.
  • Familiarity with databases such as Oracle, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of programming languages/technologies including Java and Node.js.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices, particularly Jenkins.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in QA Automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, execute, and maintain automated testing scripts for various products.
