POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Senior Accountant for the Life Sciences Segment within the Precision Technologies & Services Division, you will be a recognized subject matter expert of our finance/accounting teams in Monroe, LA and Sheboygan, WI. While minimal, some travel could be involved (i.e. 1-2x's per quarter).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Financial Data :

  • Ensures integrity of financial data and provides complete, accurate and timely financial information to management.
  • Coordinates monthly closing activities with other departments (cost accounting, AP, billing, payroll, and Financial Planning) and reporting locations to ensure complete and timely flow of financial data necessary for corporate and other reporting requirements.
  • Ensures monthly closing activites are done accurately and timely.
  • Ensures compliance with financial transaction recording standards.
  • Control reconciliation of accounts and records.

Reports :

  • Provides a variety of reports including monthly financial statements, quarterly review schedules for external auditors, annual federal and state tax schedules and information for annual report footnotes.

Other responsibilities as assigned or required.

Qualification and experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA (preferred, not mandatory)
  • 3 - 7 years' Finance experience in a matrixed manufacturing organization
  • Good working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX requirements
