What will I do in this position if hired?


This position is being hired in compliance with the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Assistance Act to staff the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Claims Office within FEMA.


In this Program Analyst position, you will serve as the Alternate System owner for the Claim's Office System of Record.

You will be the primary system owner on the Telephony and other technologies in support of the Claims Office mission.


Typical assignments include:
Conducting analysis on Claims Office processes to identify areas where technology can improve efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy.

Making recommendations based on research and work with the contracting and technology teams as applicable to secure, implement, and maintain the technology.

Collaborating with staff at all levels of the organization to accomplish technology assignments while representing Claims Office in a professional manner.

Managing multiple simultaneous projects related to identifying, procuring and managing new technologies while adapting to the demands of rapidly shifting priorities and/or tasks with very little notice and short deadlines.

Providing project management and leading cross functional teams related to implementing new technologies that improve the customer experience by focusing on the staff/user experience.

What else do I need to know?

This position will be hired into a temporary 2-year, excepted service appointment. Appointments may be renewed based on workload, funding, and supervisory approval.
