An Organizational Employee Development Director position is currently available at Belcan in Cincinnati, OH This individual will be responsible for designing and managing professional development and evaluation of programs and employee assessments that facilitate professional development and advancement opportunities, particularly emerging leaders.


Principle Responsibilities:

  • Participate in organizational strategic planning and provide leadership for talent development.
  • Provide strategic compensation leadership.
  • Research and assist in the development of training programs.
  • Develop, initiate, and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion, and succession planning.
  • Provide professional expertise and support in the design, development, and implementation of the talent review process to achieve business goals and results in the creation of next level talent.
  • Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of employee development strategies to develop workforce at all levels.
  • Understanding of HR, compensation and benefits programs within a large organization.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work effectively within a STEM centric and diverse community.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of effective mass communication principles, processes, media, and techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to be organized in a fastpaced and unstructured environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required.
  • Certification in Human Resources preferred
  • PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, similar.
  • 10 years of experience in talent management, compensation, an/or training & development specialties within Human Resources department.
  • Designing, developing, and supporting organizationwide talent management programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, succession planning, data analytics and relationship management.
  • Previous experience in capturing metrics and producing various employment reports.

Decisional Authority:

  • Minimal supervision frequently exercises independent judgment within scope of job and makes decisions with no existing guidelines.

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment this is an in person position and will be worked at our HQ in Blue Ash
  • Travel 20% working time.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $150,000 to $170,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.

Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
