Position Purpose:

Responsible for the overall management, direction and execution of HCS plant operations. This role may be responsible for multiple physical locations one location with multiple waste streams Responsible for ensuring concrete plans exist to deliver financial commitments and foster a culture of operating discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Job Activities:

Plans and schedules production requirements (people & equipment) to support daily, weekly and monthly sales forecast to meet customer's needs.
* Oversees and trains an effective and efficient staff:
o Makes recommendations for merit increases and performance appraisals.
o Monitors operations and staff and recommends, when necessary, changes in methods, procedures and structure, to secure optimum utilization of resources.
o Administers all Company policies and procedures, communicates to staff, interprets, as necessary, and ensures compliance.
o Monitors and ensures that employees are performing their functions safely and productively. Makes recommendations for changes or improvement, when necessary, in order to prevent accident or injuries.
* Ensuring the plant meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner.

* Assists in maintaining overall cost control of the plant. Ensures continuous improvement of productivity standards and worker safety performance in all phases of the operation.
* Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, either internally or externally.
* Initiate actions to assure timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions or practices.
* Perform periodic facility audits, review of all applicable regulatory paperwork, e.g., biological testing, WW testing, etc.).
* Participates in Operation's short and long range business planning.
* Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives such as 5S, setup reduction, and process improvements
* Oversees maintenance staff and guides maintenance activities to align with plant operations
* Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Bachelor Degree in business or operations management preferred or 7+ years related experience or training in a plant or manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact.
* 5+ years of experience managing others.
* Demonstrates knowledge of barcode scanning and computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
* Demonstrates the ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift.

Demonstrates the ability to work well with others, and to provide excellent customer service, both internally and externally.
* Demonstrates the ability to identify and understand customer needs; takes appropriate actions to ensure customer needs are met and proactively searches of ways to increase customer satisfaction.
* Demonstrates the ability to assess situations in an in-depth manner, focusing on central issues; reviews all possible solutions and consequences; adapts theories, concepts and analytical tools to resolve problems/issues.
* Demonstrates the ability to persist with a specific course of action. Must be willing to commit the necessary time and effort to complete work assignments and do a quality job.
* Demonstrates the ability to function independently; resolve problems without direction.
* Demonstrates the ability to concentrate on detailed work assignments even with distractions; proofread written materials for completion and accuracy.
* Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all customers.
* Demonstrates the ability to build sound relationships with all customers by providing open and honest communication in support of company values, maintaining sensitivity and trust, and credibility.
* Demonstrates the ability to oversee plant goal setting, activity scheduling, work performance and performance management to ensure measurable goals, proper workload distribution, project management, goal satisfaction and effective staff performance management.
