Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for Asset Management, which includes service support. This team is responsible for following detailed, to add, update and remove customer equipment from asset tracking software. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of customer requests.

Travel Requirements

This position is based in Cambridge MA and will support two facilities located in Cambridge and one in Branford CT. Individual should expect up to 25% travel.Customer Support Asset CommissioningWork with customer and site-based personnel to ensure correct instrument entitlements and financial impact.Perform GEMBA to verify requirements are in place for incoming equipment including space, bench type, electrical, gas, and ventilation.Work in collaboration with employee health and safety to ensure a high level of safety is maintained at the site.Collaborate with the Customer and PerkinElmer staff to ensure quality and compliance at the site.Work with onsite LIS team to schedule repairs and regular equipment maintenance.Work with WFS to schedule vendor repairs and regular equipment maintenance.Develop customer desired growth by identifying activities in which we can provide additional services, working with all critical PerkinElmer and customer team members and following proper approval processes.Perform 200 CPD, 300 Technology Square and Branford annual inventories.Manage the Equipment Disposition Program including EDP Surplus sales and disposals.ServiceMax/OneSource Asset Support for 200 CPD, 300 Technology Square and Branford Sites to add schedules, complete setups, and changes for existing and newly acquired lab equipment.Provide timely information to Workflow Specialists, through the change control process, to update the SAP data base due to instrument inventory changes (MAC process)Work with Asset Management Lead and Vendors for asset dispositions (disposals, sales, trade)Maintain Customers System of Record as it relates to all service requestsContinuously monitor new Work Order Requests in Remedy / Service Now to process and assign in-house technician to specific requestProvide a customer focused first point of contact to answer customer inquiries/service callsInitiate calls focused on requesting and expediting request for in-house service and scheduling of activities with PerkinElmer EngineersAct as the liaison for external vendors coming onsite to perform requested servicesResponsible for reviewing, completing, and signing Work Orders in accordance with WREF SOPsEnsure all service reports and documents meet customer quality guidelinesMaintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment

A Business or Management Degree also meets criteria. Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the Company and/or the customer's site safety code.Experience working in a research laboratory environment is a must, with experience within the pharmaceutical industry as highly preferred.The ability to operate a personal computer to enter data and generate reports, the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, managers, customers, and other technical support professionals is critical to successful performance in this role.Knowledge of 5S and/or 6 sigma principles is a plus.Working EnvironmentMust be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory.Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the timeThe person needs to occasionally move between labs, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite. Frequently operate on instruments, objects, tools or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching and reaching in order to perform in a service function.Occasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds (potential for occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds).Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.Occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Employee may be required to handle hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing and labeling hazardous waste.Potential risk to lab-based hazards including but not limited to extreme temperature, biological materials, hazardous chemicals.May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against animal allergens where animals are present in the laboratory environment. The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $57,200 to $86,320. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
