The Role:

Medely is modernizing healthcare by creating a two-sided marketplace which connects skilled medical personnel with open positions in medical facilities. This is the new era of healthcare where the demand of facility caseload meets the supply of qualified professionals.. Medely's design mission is to connect frontline healthcare professionals flexibly with facility opportunities reliably. This is where you come in.

We're looking for a talented designer, to join our design team. As a Senior Product Designer at Medely, you will help shape the future of healthcare staffing for our industry-leading healthcare platform. This opportunity is for a multi-faceted designer. We're looking for a capable pragmatist that is adept at solving complex interaction problems with well crafted, simple, and thoughtful design solutions.

The Impact You'll Make:

  • Collaborate with a talented team of product and engineering leaders. Advance core product capabilities that radically simplify how healthcare professionals and facilities operationalize.
  • Become an industry expert in healthcare operational fulfillment, and innovate on our platform to accelerate healthcare efficiency.
  • Create UX system architectures, efficient interaction models, and scalable product workflows, and evolve them into visually polished, ergonomic, and accessible UI components.
  • Partner closely with other designers in a remote studio environment, to collaborate and iterate on solutions, and develop and expand product design expertise.
  • Present well considered design concepts, strategies, and rationale confidently to company leadership.
  • Balance technical constraints, customer needs, and business requirements to ship win-win product solutions.
  • Partner closely with our operational teams to identify qualitative and quantitative data-driven insights to support concept work, and to conduct studies and customer interviews to validate proposed solutions.
  • Contribute to the team as a mentor, role model, and leader, to advance our exciting, fun, and vibrant product design culture.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of relevant design experience or a bachelor's (or equivalent degree) in Design or HCI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong product design expertise, that solves clearly defined customer problems and delivers results for the business. Including samples that demonstrate practical experience with a range of design methodologies. Including problem space and use-case definition, customer journeys, wireframes, architectures, multiple considered concepts, and final visually complete solutions.
  • An experienced design leader for a significant feature area or product vertical, who is also confident in bringing a strong, informed design point of view to the product team.
  • A skilled designer who is comfortable presenting your work, process, decisions, and rationale to cross-functional stakeholders while proactively seeking feedback to deliver state-of-the-art design.
  • The ability to skillfully balance process and concept fidelity for proposed solutions with self-directed urgency to meet product team and customer objectives.
  • An enthusiastic collaborator that thrives working in partnership with product and engineering experts to drive new ideas and solutions as part of the rhythm.
  • A system thinker that is able to utilize, curate, and extend shared patterns and behaviors.
  • A designer who is passionate about the details of craft, while delivering and maintaining top tier design standards.
  • An uncompromisingly service-minded mentality and the ability to anticipate the needs of customers as well as colleagues with empathy.
