Schedule: Full-Time

Shift : M- F 7am-3:30pm. Flexibility in shift required, On-Call Required.

The role you'll contribute:

Under general direction, the Senior Imaging Engineer for Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology is responsible for managing the Service and Installation of Imaging Equipment within their assigned modality and aiding the Clinical Engineering Department and AdventHealth in the developing resources to achieve growth and reduce contract line. A successful candidate will develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with the departments they serve by prioritizing customer satisfaction and equipment up-time. The Senior Imaging Engineer will utilize the hospital performance improvement process to aid in reaching the goal of developing a successful in-house Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology service program. The candidate will participate in and assist with meeting and maintaining all regulatory requirements within the CC and IR Modality. The successful candidate will establish and maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with Directors, Managers, Physicians, and other Hospital Leaders. The Senior Imaging Engineer will meet with customers, partners and team members to assure departmental service standards are maintained (ie. Department Rounding). He/She will actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

  • Assists with developing and implementing objectives, policies and procedures related to the Cardiac Cath & IR Service Operation.The candidate should be organized, structured, capable working independently.
  • Accountable for meeting budgetary goals, providing action plan for recovery when variances occur.[Leadership Expectations]
  • Assists the Cardiovascular and IR Modality Managers with quality management across the system acting as a Subject Matter Expert and Technical resource for Technologists, Radiologists and Imaging leadership across the system.
  • Supports and assists with data collection for Performance Improvements while understanding the department performance trends and established standards.Contributes and encourages others to contribute toward process improvement by serving on PI teams as assigned.Participates in department polling satisfaction initiatives. Utilizes service recovery resources when appropriate.[Performance Improvement]
  • Meets regularly with the Clinical Engineering Director and Imaging Service Manager to keep them apprised of modality business.Actively participates on assigned Extending Excellence, Performance Improvement and/or Service Operations committees/team(s) and shares information with staff.Provides staff meeting notes where applicable, promoting positive dialogue with respect to meeting or exceeding objectives. Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering OR 5 years of equivalent experience
  • At least 10 year's experience as Cardiac Cath and IR Service Engineer
  • Experience troubleshooting and replacing X-ray Tubes, Image Intensifiers, Cameras, Collimators, Detectors, Positioner Cabinets, Chillers, HV Tanks & Cables, Power Supplies, PDB Electrical panels, and UPS's.
  • Experience calibrating system post repair to ensure safety for Care Teams and Patients.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of Policies/Procedures/Protocols in one or more of the following XR, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine/PET, Ultrasound, Mammography or DXA, Procedural Imaging, or Imaging Nursing.
  • Knowledge of equipment and vendors in one or more of the following XR, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine/PET, Ultrasound, Mammography or DXA.
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Proven ability to solve complex Hardware and Software problems dealing with a variety of multivariable situations and equations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form and serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Cardiac and IR Installations in conjunction with the PMO.
