What you will do

  • Responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients during in the Oncology Infusion Center. Plans, organizes, and directs staff in order to meet workload demand and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Role includes clinical practice, staff development, consultation, leadership, and support. Works with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure lines of communication are open and processes for quality patient care and problem resolution are in place and utilized.
  • Develops and monitors quality improvement issues and assures team members are competent to provide care for patients. Understands, utilizes, and is able to interpret and follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Serves as a representative of the hospital and as a clinical role model in all interactions with patients, family visitors, physicians, and other staff members.

Position Details

  • Medical Oncology/Infusion Center
  • Full time, 40 hours/week, benefitted
  • 10 hour day shift M-F (flex start times)

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurses.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting.
  • Baccalaureate Degree in nursing required or actively pursuing degree upon hire.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Oncology Certification (ONS)

Salary Range: Minimum $52.72 per hour - Maximum $81.72 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
