As our Credits Team Lead, you will help the Credits Department by training and mentoring as well as reviewing and resolving outstanding credit balances within the established processes and compliance guidelines. Every day you will work in the Credits Department. To thrive in this role, the Credits Team Lead must have extensive knowledge of credit balance resolutions, processes, and operating system applications used within the department. They must also have the ability to resolve challenging credit balance workloads based on research, extensive experience and decision-making abilities. This person ensures quality of work is delivered and provides direction to Credits Rep I & II on accounts that need additional review and assistance. In addition, a Credits Team Lead will be assigned to specific workloads that need review for audits, time sensitive focuses, and review refund requests that qualify in delegated authority threshold tiers. This position is required to maintain consistent productivity and quality of work in a challenging, fast paced, and rapidly changing environment. This position will also assist the supervisor with training needs for the team as well as assigned work assignments from supervisor.

The team lead must be able to work Pacific Standard Time hours, within the hours of 6am – 6pm PST from their respective time zone, Monday through Friday. The team lead will work 40 hours a week. This is a remote role. The team lead will need to pass a background check and drug screen.

Here is what you will experience working as a Credits Team Lead :

  • Timely and accurately resolving credit balances, including escalated requests
  • Processing internal and external refund requests, including high-dollar request
  • Resolving unidentified payments through research
  • Identifying trends and escalating when appropriate
  • Helping ensure projects and tasks are completed in timely manner
  • Coordinating, tracking and reporting to the Supervisor on special projects
  • Maintaining accurate, clear, concise, and complete account notes and other relevant information
  • Closely adhering to set schedules and handling time standards
  • Identifying, resolving and escalating major issues and service failures that impede success
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all patient demographic, medical, and financial information, ensuring proper handling and disposal of confidential documents and adherence to HIPAA
  • Complying with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, and regulations
  • Making work assignments for team members and tracking completion of tasks
  • Scheduling and coordinating team or other resources
  • Serving as a point of escalation for operational issues for their team or site
  • Overseeing operational processes for their team or staff at their site
  • Identifying, analyzing, suggesting and implementing improvements to processes
  • Participating in writing, implementing and monitoring operational processes
  • Performing other duties as requested by supervisor/manager

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years healthcare hospital revenue cycle experience
  • Experience using EPIC and MS Office

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $ $24.79 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
