Billing & Collections Representative II - Refunds - PFS - RCSSD

JOB SUMMARY:
Billing & Collections Rep II-Refunds The overall objective is to process credit balances on accounts. The incumbent will assume responsibility for identifying, researching, analyzing & resolving credit balances on accounts. Incumbent is responsible for working credit balance accounts within an assigned system work queue. Following established departmental policy, appropriate action to resolve credit balance will be taken. This may include performing appropriate adjustments, transferring credit to the appropriate transaction & processing refunds to patient/guarantor & insurance companies. If a refund or adjustment is required incumbent is responsible for submitting adjustment and/or refund request to Supervisor for approval. Appropriate documentation to support the request must be attached. Performs other duties, as assigned. Works collaboratively, professionally & courteously with internal & external RCHSD departments, patients, payors & others, as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
3 Years of Experience
Ability to think analytically
In Depth Knowledge of insurance plans and processing
Previous experience in a healthcare environment
3 years medical billing experience required
The expected hiring range for this position is $22.00 to $30.26
