Irrigation Production Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Irrigation Production Manager to train and develop a team of irrigation technicians, as well as manage smart irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing teams and a strong background in water management and irrigation system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of irrigation technicians (8), providing training, support and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure technicians are achieving production factors to remain on schedule.
  • Assist technicians with complex irrigation system failure.
  • Hold technicians accountable to a scorecard with a weekly 1 on 1.
  • Monitor and adjust time clocking in Aspire.
  • Working with the Account Managers to identify and execute on staffing needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing irrigation systems, preferably in Commercial landscape.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience managing service technician teams
  • Training and development:
    • Ability to transfer knowledge to direct reports
    • Desire to set goals for service technicians and to support and hold techs accountable to said goals
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in the use of irrigation software (Smartlink), Aspire and technology (preferred).
  • Communication Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with direct reports and managers.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
    • Ability to make informed decisions quickly and under pressure.
  • Attributes:
