About the Role

You can expect to work on the following:

  • Lead the R&D for new and existing data science powered products at Northbeam.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and product teams to productize the above for our growing customer base.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for non-technical stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Educate team members in other departments about the use of data science in marketing and advertising.

About YouRequirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a highly quantitative STEM field
  • Strong first-principles understanding of statistics, linear algebra, probability, and machine learning
  • Experience with at least two of the following: regression, time series analysis, causal inference, statistical testing, Bayesian modeling, optimization
  • Strong programming skills, and ability to implement data science solutions within a production codebase using clean, interpretable, and maintainable code
  • Ability to help internal and external stakeholders navigate the business trade-offs of technical solutions, and clearly communicate results to non-technical audiences in English
  • Ability to design and build rich visualizations to tell compelling stories with data
  • Expertise in Python
  • Minimum 4+ years of professional experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, or quant
  • Experience (or enthusiasm) working in a small, fast-paced company, and leading the implementation of projects start-to-finish in a results driven startup environment

Good to Have

  • MS, PhD, or academic research experience with a focus on quantitative or statistical methods
  • Prior experience working with marketing data, e-commerce, or ad-tech
  • Experience with differentiable programming or probabilistic programming (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, Pyro, PyMC)
  • Experience with low-level numerical programming and optimizing code in tensor libraries
  • Experience with unsupervised learning (clustering), statistical anomaly detection, experimental design, and time series forecasting
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and AWS
  • Experience with software architecture, systems architecture, and/or data engineering
