About the position

Persistent Systems is looking to fulfill the Client Partner/Director – Technical Sales position. The individual will be responsible for leading sales activities in his or her respective region, including lead generation, identifying and creating opportunities with new customers and/or within Persistent's customer base, and closing the same. Thinking outside of the box and demonstrating the art of the possible is key to this role, as is building relationships in their region with the partner's sales team and Persistent's other sales executives.

What you will do –

  • Demonstrable experience in achieving annual revenue targets.
  • Own, deliver, and overachieve the M-o-M and Q-o-Q sales target.
  • Identify accounts to target, penetrate these accounts, and establish excellent relationships with CXOs and other key stakeholders.
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around Cloud and Data services.
  • Manage the entire deal lifecycle from 'Qualify' to 'Close'.
  • Understand client requirements (needs analysis) and customize the product pitch accordingly.
  • Develop a healthy sales pipeline that exceeds quota expectations.
  • Represent your region in overall business planning sessions with Sales Leadership and Sales reviews.
  • Participate in sales pipeline calls, weekly and monthly reviews, and conduct daily huddles in your territory.
  • Gather market intelligence on products, competition, opportunities, and latest trends.
  • Set higher benchmarks in adherence to processes and identify improvements in process, efficiency, enablement, and productivity.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
  • Profile customers, plan sales, and set revenue/margin targets by service line at the account level.
  • Anchor client meetings and pursue opportunities generated with the help of pre-sales, delivery, and external partners.

What you will bring –

  • Demonstrated ability in effective interactions at multiple stakeholder levels across hierarchies in client organizations and across functions in the internal organization.
  • Direct experience in handling sales targets and managing teams.
  • Experience and/or aptitude for concept selling in a highly customer-centric and consultative client engagement environment.
  • Understanding of the sales cycle; demonstrated track record in managing complex negotiations to successful closure.
  • High energy levels and enthusiasm.
  • Effective presentation skills to small and large groups.
  • Prior work experience in Cloud, Data, or Product Engineering Services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • BA/BS degree required; Masters or MBA a plus.
  • 6-8 years of technology-related sales, marketing, or business development experience, preferably in Cloud or Data.
  • A technical background in engineering, computer science/MIS or equivalent work experience required.
  • Direct field experience working with top enterprise accounts across your assigned territory.
