About the Job

Job Title: Senior Developer / Tech Lead - Alternatives Investment Services

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with over 10 years of experience in developing enterprise scale applications, particularly in the financial domain, preferably in Alternatives. In this position, you will collaborate closely with business and IT teams across various Business Units and geographies.

  • Design and develop Data Services / APIs for Alternatives
  • Ensure alignment with Digital Experience strategy and product roadmap
  • Lead Agile development team to develop value-added services for Alternatives
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and others on requirements analysis, scrum planning, and execution
  • Support production systems for business continuity and application improvement
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting on large, mission-critical client/project implementations
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment
Skills and Qualifications Required:
  • Hands-on experience with Java Software development frameworks like Spring Boot & Hibernate
  • Experience in RESTful API development and exposure to Google Apigee platform
  • Proficient in SQL development with Oracle, MS-SQL Server, and Sybase
  • Expertise in testing frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, Gherkin & Cucumber
  • Understanding of various CSPs (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and their technology stack
  • Exposure to messaging services like Kafka/Rabbit MQ
  • Experience with observability tools chains
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Experience in leading, motivating, coaching, and developing teams
  • Great interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude
Educational Requirements:
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • Extensive multi-platform, multi-database, and/or multi-language experience
  • Hands-on SQL development experience with Oracle, MS-SQL Server, and Sybase
  • Experience in RESTful Services & multi-threaded programming
  • Writing unit tests for automated unit testing framework and application of design patterns
  • Experience with React JS, Web APIs, Azure, or other cloud platforms
  • Experience in Event-driven, Micro-services, and Serverless development patterns
