Immediate Job Opening for Customer Service Supervisor - Import Operations - Remote Position
Experience working for a freight forwarder handling import cargo.
We are proud to offer the position of Customer Service Supervisor to be based at the NY/NJ area. Position is available for immediate appointment. Qualified candidates will be offered competitive salary and all standard benefits.
Professional experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience handling all aspects of import operations from
beginning to end. - Familiar with customs regulations and insuring compliance and minimizing
disruptions. - In depth understanding of shipping regulations including customs procedures and
documentation requirements. - Proven track record of customer satisfaction that includes fostering relationships.
- Experience handling cross border moves.
- Ability to work in high pressure environments.
- Experience negotiating rates with carriers, trucking companies and vendors in
general. - Technologically savvy.
- Customer focused and welcoming personality.
- Ability to understand and resolve problems to the benefit of customer and the
company. - Team player with the ability to reach out to other members. Easily approachable.
- Good communication skills.
- Positive attitude.
Must have experience working for a forwarder or forwarders with knowledge of import procedures.
