Operating from over 20 years of experience delivering secure enterprise class networks, Ventus develops cellular wireless and fixed line SD-WAN, Hybrid WAN, and Cellular WAN solutions for an expanding array of business connectivity applications.

Position

Responsible for communicating at a technical level with customer engineers and technical personnel, explaining how the Ventus wireless and wired solutions work and can fit in with the customer's project requirements. Also responsible for building and owning network related change requests required to implement customer projects.

What You Will Do

Attend and lead customer meetings to design back haul connectivity to customer premises.

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with customer technical contacts
  • Build and implement change requests related to customer projects
  • Maintain and monitor available IP addresses for customers who allow Ventus to manage VFN router IP addresses
  • Document customer projects and maintain current network diagrams
  • Communicate with multiple departments and keep them informed of customer projects, their progress, and/or relevant problems.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the help desk and sales team
  • All other work as required

Who You Are and What You Bring

  • Intimate knowledge of the Ventus production network and established back haul connections
  • Proficient with TCP/IP
  • Functional knowledge of Libreswan, Cisco hardware, Routing protocols
  • Working knowledge of Linux, specifically with the command line
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Following Company security practices
  • Ability to interpret, diagnose, and troubleshoot network connectivity issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Desired But Not Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Familiar with Cisco systems
  • Prior sales or service support experience
