    • Identify and resolve order entry and prescribing problems
  • Drug Preparation and Dispensing
    • Prepare and dispense medications in a timely and accurate manner
    • Ensure proper labeling and packaging of medications
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient medication profiles
    • Comply with regulatory requirements for documentation and record-keeping
  • Purchasing and Inventory Control
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of medications
    • Identify and mitigate potential shortages of medications
  • Clinical and Drug Information
    • Provide accurate and timely information to patients and healthcare providers regarding medications
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacotherapy and disease management
  • Teaching and Communication
    • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members
    • Provide education and training to patients and healthcare providers on medication use and management
  • Program Development and Quality Assurance
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance programs
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Experience
    • At least 3 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist
  • Credentials
    • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Connecticut

    • Board certification in a relevant specialty
  • Education
    • Master's degree in Pharmacy or a related field
Work Environment

This is a per diem position, working weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM as needed for pharmacist vacation coverage.
