The purpose of the Lead IT Infrastructure Specialist is design, administration, and support of infrastructure implementations. Under limited supervision, the position provides direct technical support for all requirements in the planning, design, architect, coordination, programming, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to infrastructure and information systems, hardware, software, transaction monitors, and the range of products and productivity tools that support testing and production environments.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Team Lead: Mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure the team's success and professional development
- Infrastructure Design and Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and plan complex IT infrastructure solutions that meet the company's current and future needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices
- Lead technology, product selection, laying out infrastructure roadmap, enterprise-wide implementation and responsibility for purchase justification
- Implementation and Deployment: Oversee the implementation and deployment of IT infrastructure projects, including hardware, software, network, SQL database and cloud-based solutions, while adhering to project timelines and budgets
- Establish and recommend policies and standards on system use and services
- System Administration: Manage, automate, maintain the company's IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and security infrastructure, to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security
- Security and Compliance: Design and implement Solutions based on provided security controls and enforce security standards will all solutions
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Establish and maintain proactive monitoring and maintenance processes to identify and address issues, vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and disruption to business operations
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select third-party vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business needs
- Provide Project Management role for specific technical implementations
- Automate monitoring or periodic preventative maintenance processes
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures, and provide regular reports and updates to management on the status of infrastructure projects and initiatives
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization of IT infrastructure and systems, and lead initiatives to implement changes that enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability

Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in computer science or similar
- 8+ Years of experience in IT infrastructure, specializing in Operational Support
- 3+ Years of architecture experience, with a proven track record of leading successful infrastructure projects
- 3+ Years of experience with Azure Cloud architecture
- Strong knowledge of general IT Infrastructure in a large corporate environment
