San Francisco, California, United States Seam Full time

About Seam

Seam builds an API for controlling IoT devices, such as door locks, thermostats, sensors, cameras, and more. Software developers and businesses then use Seam's API to connect devices with their applications and orchestrate their use. This lets them unlock doors for Airbnb guests or FedEx drivers, set thermostat temperatures to save energy and measure carbon emissions, and more.

The company was founded by early engineers from Nest, Github, Sonder, and Google. Based in San Francisco, Seam is backed by Tiger Global, Root Ventures, YC, and founders/execs from companies like Stripe, Plaid, Flexport, Airbnb, and many others.

About the Role

As a Content Marketing Manager at Seam, you will be instrumental in producing and promoting high-quality technical content that elevates our brand's presence.

You'll be producing a mix of written and media content, including in-depth articles, product announcements, case studies, newsletters, customer testimonials, product reviews, and videos. Your content will highlight our unique product, showcase our clients' innovative use cases, and provide valuable industry insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include creating monthly case studies and video testimonials for our marquee clients, leading the production of our bi-weekly newsletter in collaboration with the product team, and developing thought leadership content with in-depth articles on IoT-related topics. Additionally, you will work on growing our audience across major channels such as Hacker News, Reddit, Twitter and LinkedIn to drive engagement and awareness of Seam.

You'll take ownership of our content calendar, ensuring all content is created and distributed on schedule. Using Figma, you'll produce graphics and presentations, and you'll work with graphic designers to ensure all content aligns with our brand requirements. Your role will also involve directing and editing videos to make sure they are engaging and informative.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of proven content marketing experience, with experience across a variety of content types including longform content (e.g., thought leadership pieces), short form content (e.g., infographics) and video script writing, preferably in tech.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex product features into compelling marketable content.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to create a scalable content production/management engine within the organization
  • Demonstrated track record of success with turning content into traffic, engaging and educating audiences, and creating content that converts prospects into customers
  • Proficiency in graphic design using Figma
  • Excellent understanding of SEO best practices and web analytics
