Description:

Our client is an enterprise managed service provider for the US Army. They're additionally, a hosting provider for Army IT systems providing various levels of sustainment support for hosted systems and sustainment services to support their applications.. They support enterprise applications owners in migrating their systems into Microsoft Azure.

This program supports over 3.6M users in the US Army and hosts over 100 applications for the departments of the US Army.

Day-to-Day/ Experience Required:


• Responsible for maintaining multiple on-prem, domain separated ServiceNow instances as well as multiple scoped application for our client and its customers.


• Deliver customer requirements for enhancements to our client's capabilities in ITSM, Asset & Discovery.


• Support & mentor junior developer in developing competence in ServiceNow development in the client's environment.


• Translate Customer Business requirements into Jira Stories, establish draft acceptance criteria and manage the work from notification through release to production.


• Maintenance of NIPR and SIPR instance of our client's ServiceNow environments as well as our client's Customer Instances.


• Document, standardize, and streamline processes for configuring new domains (clients) within Service-now, including data gathering, tracking, scrubbing, loading, and validating.


• Set and coordinate priorities for configuration tasks required to enable Service-now, based on overall deployment targets and milestones


• Track configuration tasks for all deployments in process and report status at daily / weekly project calls, raising issues with leadership early when issues, delays, etc. may impact deployment timeline.


• Analyze large datasets of client configuration information using advanced analytics and automation to quickly and efficiently identify bad / missing data, transformations required, and other potential issues.


• Configure new customers and users in Service-now using best practice and proven methods endorsed by Service-now, making sure to maintain system integrity and domain security at all times.


• Integrate Service-now with LDAP sources, where necessary. Validate connections, determine data field mapping, identify logic required for data transformation and account maintenance, implement logic, test, coordinate release, and troubleshoot where necessary.


• Coordinate with site technical staff and our client's experts to address security and integration issues, questions, and requests related to data configuration, authentication, and authorization.


• Thoroughly inspect all data configured for each domain during and after implementation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.


• Build a thorough base of knowledge articles and information regarding domain configuration approach, standards, best practices, and techniques to assist additional resources brought on to assist with domain configuration.


• Make recommendations for process, application, and training changes based on quality reviews, configuration experience, etc.

Required Skills:

The successful candidate will have excellent analytic and organization skills with a keen attention to detail, sound judgment, solid technical skills, communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and IT management and staff.

The candidate must be self-directed, customer-focused, process-oriented, logical and tenacious. You must be able to develop new ideas for ways to streamline efforts while maintaining quality; must be willing to apply extra effort when it is necessary; must accept responsibility for your own work; and willing to assist others as the situation demands.


• ServiceNow CSA (Certified ServiceNow Administrator) certification


• MIS degree (preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience


• 2-5 years application administration experience


• Experience implementing and integrating applications


• Proven expertise analyzing large datasets to validate quality and clean bad data

Desired Skills:

Experienced with IT Service Management application Service-now; strong customer service orientation and experience with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to understand and gather information on what our client is trying to achieve and deliver a solution; ability to multi-task; detail-oriented; willing to learn. Strong foundation in ITIL framework; proven experience and understanding of root cause analysis techniques.


• DoD experience in an IT role


• ITIL v3/v4 Foundations Certification


• METHODOLOGY: ITIL v3/4 Foundation, ITIL v3 Practitioner level certification


• Experience with ServiceNow Incident, Problem, Service Catalog, CMDB, Change and Release – a plus


• Experience in working with ServiceNow Scoped Applications, specifically CG4 and Proven Optics
