The Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP) is seeking a Deputy Director of Research. This position is a critical part of the ACEP leadership team that will lead large programmatic efforts and provide strategic research leadership. This position will conduct research and research administration.

ACEP is a trusted research-driven center that has built collaborations and working relationships across the state of Alaska with local stakeholders and communities.

To thrive in this role, you will need to be adaptable and curious about energy. Experience and enthusiasm for managing researchers and staff will be a large part of your role. The ability to think critically and present new ideas as a member of the ACEP leadership team is required for your success in this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific field and a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible management experience required including at least 5 years of experience in supervising and managing individuals and teams.

Position Details:

This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks, AK. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . New hires starting salary will be based on education and experience.
