The Signers' Business Office is an ever growing and diverse office that serves a variety of units on the UAF campus In this role as Fiscal Technician, you will provide dedicated support to various types of departments from student services to public service to research units. The role requires a strong focus on fiscal and technological skills, organization, communication, and great attention to detail. The position is crucial in providing fiscal in-person support to our growing office.

To thrive in this fast-paced environment you will need to be organized, self-motivated, and work well under deadlines. Excellent customer service and communication skills both oral and written are essential. We promote a friendly, upbeat work environment with a focus on service. Basic knowledge of accounting systems with ability to analyze expenditure and revenue data and the ability to perform technical accounting functions and cost projections will be indispensable in this role.

Minimum Qualifications:

One year of college coursework in accounting or equivalent or an equivalent combination of training, experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Must have at least 3 or more years of high level customer service experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule , Grade 77, based on education and experience.
