Senior Manager, Financial Reporting

This Corporate Accounting and Finance position, reporting to the VP of Finance, will be a key member of the consolidations team focusing on Chubb's internal delivery of digital services (branded as Chubb Studio). This candidate will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including other corporate finance colleagues, divisional leadership, and functional staff to interpret financial data, operational performance and the reporting of results.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain ledgers for Chubb Studio Inc, including the recording of income, expenses, assets and liabilities
  • Support monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting and forecasting, including but not limited to generation of materials for monthly forecast meetings, quarterly close meetings, Annual Plan, Strategic Plan, and ad hoc financial reporting
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze financial results, variance analysis, and provide insights on business performance.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports, including required reconciliations for all assigned general ledger accounts
  • Calculate, draft, record, and send internal invoices for digital entity expenses born by other related party entities. Work with related entity accounting personnel to ensure timely and accurate recording of results
  • Maintain documentation to support financial accounts and controls
  • Follow up on intercompany payments and 3rd party vendor payments
  • Work with internal transfer pricing team to monitor financial ratios and entity profitability
  • Execute SOX/audit documentation
  • Periodically review processes and procedures documentation for necessary updates
    Qualifications
    • Minimum of 7 years accounting experience with knowledge of US GAAP. Prior public accounting experience desirable but not required
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Experience/familiarity with GAAP insurance accounting concepts preferred
    • Strong Excel Skills and experience working with large data sets, TM1 and PeopleSoft. Demonstrated agility with software platforms and reporting of large data sets.
    • Demonstrated success in time management, communication (both verbal & written), and organizational skills
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines
    • Strong attention to detail and committed to quality and accuracy
