A Controller job in Madison, WI is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. This role requires candidates to have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. In this position, you will oversee daily accounting processes including month-end close, AP/AR, and financial forecasting and analysis. This position will also manage the general ledger, maintain financial data, and prepare the budget. This position reports to the General Manager and has one direct report in accounting.
Controller Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage and oversee monthend close process.
- Manage financial forecasting, analysis, and budgeting.
- Maintain financial data, records, and files.
- Manage the general ledger.
- Complete cash forecasting, revenue, and expenditure variance analysis.
- Direct financial statement preparation.
Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive Accounting experience.
- Leadership experience a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience with an ERP system or accounting software
- Experience in a small business environment is a plus.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
