Job Summary:

As a Financial Controller at MSA Professional Services, Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This includes managing accounting systems, monitoring general ledger accountants, project costing, invoicing, payables, and receivables. You will also be responsible for developing accounting policies and procedures, managing compliance with contractual requirements, and leading initiatives to improve project invoicing and external and internal reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate accounting systems to monitor general ledger accountants, project costing, invoicing, payables, and receivables.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Lead initiatives to improve project invoicing and external and internal reporting processes.
• Oversee project reserve and revenue recognition management and analysis.
• Prepare, enter, and post complex journal entries, and consolidate financial reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience required, 12+ preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification required.
• Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• Advanced technical accounting knowledge and experience in A/E industry desirable.
