Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is a leading consulting engineering firm seeking a highly motivated Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Intern to join our team in Madison, WI. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop your skills in industrial, process, and building HVAC control systems and instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of control systems for industrial and commercial applications
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met
- Apply knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles to solve complex problems
Requirements
- Enrolled in an engineering degree program from an ABET accredited school in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Completed a minimum of one year engineering coursework with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Strong understanding of Building Automation Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, and electrical schematics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
