Job Description:

  • Oversee the collection activities of the credit staff and assist them in working with customers on appropriate collection plans.
  • Identify and respond to accounts that represent significant credit risk and credit delinquency.
  • Oversee the proper maintenance of account master data and account set-up.
  • Evaluate credit worthiness of customers analyzing financial statements, utilizing credit reports and assigning appropriate credit limits.
  • Prepare various reports that analyze the aging status and productivity of staff.
  • Assist staff with reconciliation of disputes that prevent customers from paying in a timely manner and work with sales department as needed to reach resolution.
  • Identify areas of process improvement and present solutions for change within the department.
  • Hands on position will require this person to collect; handling a high volume of accounts while maintaining customer relationships.

    Minimum Requirements:
    • Three or more years of High Volume Business to Business collections experience
    • Three or more years experience managing High Volume/Face Paced Credit and Collections Department.
    • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
    • Knowledge of current credit policies and practices
    • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Intermediate to Expert knowledge of Excel
    • Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Applications
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Self-motivated and highly disciplined
    • Have one year experience in approving credit
    • Degree in accounting, business administration, finance or similar field a plus.
