- Manage case processes for a caseload of 25-35 teen parents within educational settings.
- Facilitate and monitor student success by evaluating credits, rosters, and securing necessary services to help students achieve their academic, social, and personal objectives.
- Conduct intake and motivational interviews to assess student needs.
- Collaborate closely with educators, counselors, families, and higher education institutions to meet program goals.
- Design strategies to assist students in accumulating required credits for graduation.
- Organize and oversee the essential components of the ELECT program, including comprehensive case management.
- Maintain accurate student records and track attendance.
- Coordinate homebound instruction services as needed.
Conduct monthly workshops covering various topics such as:
- Health and nutrition
- Family planning
- Parenting skills
- Substance abuse prevention
- Violence prevention
- Job skills and vocational guidance
- College preparation
Assist with summer and post-high school job placements and educational transitions. Organize events and field trips, conduct home visits during intake and quarterly thereafter, and ensure data is accurately entered and tracked in required systems.
QualificationsApplicants should possess a BSW/MSW degree and have two to three years of experience in social services and academic support for high school populations. A current clearance is required for this position.
