Position Overview

American Heritage Credit Union is seeking a skilled Financial Operations Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in executing standardized accounting tasks with precision and adherence to established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a range of advanced administrative functions, including managing phone communications, word processing, data entry, transcription, editing, and organizing documentation.
  • Support the Controller by performing various tasks that contribute to the upkeep of the Credit Union's financial, statistical, and accounting records.
  • Handle and oversee operational settlements as designated.
  • Manage Accounts Payable processes in line with the established policies for American Heritage and its affiliates.
  • Review and process approved expense reports, ensuring accurate payment and posting to the general ledger.
  • Monitor and document fixed asset transactions in the general ledger.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in accounting or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is necessary.
